Getting your test results
When you’ve had a test, you’ll be told how long it’ll take to get the result. Call our surgery after this time if you haven’t heard anything.
Our receptionists can only relay messages from your doctor, they can’t comment on your results. It’s your responsibility to check your test results and make follow-up appointments whenever necessary.
Our data protection and confidentiality policy means we can only give results to the patient themselves without prior permission.
Non-urgent advice: Test Results
Routine Radiology results (X-rays, MRI etc) – 28 working days
Urgent Radiology results (X-rays, MRI etc)– 7 working days
Where possible Radiology aspire to achieve faster turnaround times, which is often the case where capacity allows for a quicker turnaround.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) – preferred
- phone between 1pm to 3pm and we will tell you what the results are. Please only use this option if you do not have online access or NHS App

Blood Tests are done on the 1st floor of Waters Green Medical Centre if booked using the above link/number.
